In Memory of Bernard M. Kottler

His friends and acquaintances make up an impressive “Who’s Who” list.  The list includes Donald Trump, Ralph Lauren, Estee Lauder, Calvin Klein, Michael Jordan, Hugh Heffner, Sam Walton and Soupy Sales.  The list also includes the bus boys and waiting staff at the 2nd Avenue Deli, the doormen of his apartment building and the local merchants and patrons along the Murray Hill section of New York City. He never forgot his childhood friends and was always there when someone was in need.  He was charming, funny and all would agree a bit eccentric.

Born in Scranton, Pa,  he received his Master's Degree from NYU. A successful businessman, Uncle Bernie was philanthropic and a strong supporter of educational causes.  He loved his family and we all adored him. He lived a full life and could amaze anyone when he shared his life experiences.  One day,  his memories began to fade as Alzheimer’s set in.  The disease would ultimately take his life.  To all of us whose lives he touched, the memories will always remain.
